Science & Engineering (S&E) Professionals with Degrees

S&E PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Program

This program offers a 3-year development and training experience to qualified graduates with an S&E-related bachelor’s degree. The first and third years involve work experience; the second year is dedicated to graduate studies, during which participants receive a full salary and coverage of all tuition costs, books, and fees. PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Program

This program offers a permanent full-time position during a 2- to 4-year period. A customized training plan gives participants growth experience, both personally and professionally. The program offers yearly salary and promotion increases based on successful performance and supervisor approval. COPPER CAP Program

This program helps to prepare college graduates for contract specialist careers. Trainees work with professional contracting officers and receive formal and on-the-job training in all aspects of contract management, including requirements definition, solicitation preparation, price justification, negotiation and award, and contract administration. Selected candidates complete a 3- to 4-year formal training plan, with annual promotion opportunity based upon successful performance, meeting time-in-grade requirements, and supervisory approval at each grade level. Pathways Recent Graduates Program

This program provides paid developmental experiences to recent graduates of qualifying educational institutions or programs. Individuals participating in this program have the opportunity to apply academic training and knowledge in a professional job that builds their work skills and provides valuable experience in their chosen field. Participants are generally eligible for retirement benefits, flexible spending accounts, health, life, dental, vision, and long-term care insurance.

Pathways

This program provides students with paid opportunities to explore work related to specific career goals while pursuing their degree. Students may work part- or full-time. In addition, individuals who successfully complete this program may be eligible for conversion to a permanent or time-limited position. Participants who work at least 90 days accrue vacation and sick leave but may not be eligible for retirement benefits; or flexible spending accounts; health, life, dental, vision, and long-term care insurance.
